I have been working at RMIT Vietnam.
As an "academic" (lecturer & course coordinator) it is good for balancing work commitments and other personal or professional responsibilities. The salary is decent.
The rotating series of "leaders" that have come through each have their own agenda and don't seem to care about anything else. The opportunities for advancement or promotion aren't great unless you happen to fit with the current leadership's agenda.
If the management/leadership actually listen to the students and staff, without their own agenda and biases getting in the way, they might realize that there are a lot of opportunities that are being missed. Communication flows only downhill and even those messages are often not well-thought-out which leads to confusion and changes going forward.
I worked at RMIT Vietnam for 5 years 1 month.
Good Academic program - Good Salary
Administration needs to be improved, bureaucracy
